Events
School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.
Our school events include:
- school orientation days
- sports carnivals
- Harmony Week, NAIDOC Week and Book Week events
- excursions and incursions
- performances and concerts
- fundraising, charity and community events
- award assemblies
- graduation and other celebrations.

Blacktown Learning Community (BLC) SteamTeam Challenge
Selected students from Years 3 to 6 are taking part in an exciting STEAM Team Challenge—a non-competitive program involving several local schools. This initiative aims to strengthen students’ skills in coding, robotics, and digital technologies, all while encouraging collaboration and creative problem-solving.
P&C Mother's day & Father's Day Stalls
Our P&C and dedicated parent/carer volunteers host our annual Mother's and Father's Day stalls. The stalls are a beloved part of our school calendar!
NAIDOC Week
Students and staff celebrate NAIDOC Week each year by wearing mufti clothes in the Aboriginal flag colours of red, black and yellow. All classes learnt about the history of NAIDOC Week to recognise Australian Aboriginal culture, history and achievements. Our students also have the opportinuty to learn Traditional Indigenous games like Kai (a cooperative ball game) and Munhanganing (a game like Tips). Students also spend time in the Bush Tucker Garden, where Yarning Circle discussions take place.
