Wellbeing

At our school, student wellbeing and learning go hand in hand. We want every student to feel safe, included and ready to learn. Whether your child needs help with their mental, emotional, social or physical wellbeing, we are here to help them thrive at school and in daily life.

How we support student wellbeing

Supporting each student’s mental, emotional, social and physical wellbeing is part of everyday school life.

Positive Behaviour Learning (PBL)

At Marayong Heights Public School, we believe academic success goes hand in hand with social, emotional and physical development. Our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) framework creates a safe, respectful and supportive environment where students develop self-awareness, build positive relationships and are motivated to do their best. Guided by our school expectations of Be Safe, Be Respectful and Be an Active Learner, students are supported by consistent responses from staff and a strong sense of belonging.

Our school mascot, Endeavour the Emu, helps students connect with these values across all school settings. PBL is reinforced through a clear award system, with students progressing from Blue to Bronze, Silver and Gold levels by demonstrating positive behaviour and active learning. These achievements are celebrated at assemblies, recognising and encouraging every student to be a safe, respectful and engaged learner who is ready to become a leader of tomorrow.
